Frequently Asked Questions

  • You reserve your beef with a deposit, and the balance is due when your order is ready. We’ll email you pickup details once we get closer to butcher dates.

  • We currently have butcher dates scheduled for March 2026 and May 2026. Additional dates will be added as our herd grows. Check the preorder page for availability.

  • A typical 25 lb beef box fits easily in a standard freezer.
    A half beef usually needs 8-10 cubic feet of freezer space.
    A whole beef needs 14-18 cubic feet.

  • Not yet. All beef is local pickup only in Cooksville, Maryland. Limited availability for local delivery (within 15 miles - $10)

  • We accept payment via invoice through QuickBooks, debit/credit card, check or cash at pickup

  • All beef boxes require a 50% deposit to reserve.
    Add-ons do not require a deposit at preorder, as availability cannot be guaranteed until processing.

  • Beef boxes are curated, discounted bundles of mixed cuts.

    By-the-cut options are individual cuts and add-ons available after processing, while supplies last.

  • Our cattle are raised on grass and hay with a small amount of grain throughout their life, and additional grain added during finishing. This approach produces beef that is tender, flavorful, and well-marbled — while also helping us maintain calm, easy-to-handle cattle.

  • For the safety of our animals and family, we do not offer open farm visits. Pickup is available by appointment only.
